CONTEXT
Leon Glatzer – German WSL pro surfer with Argentine roots – received a new sponsorship vehicle as part of his Olympic campaign for 2024: a fully electric SUV from NIO. Together with QR Talents, I documented him picking up his new car – right in the middle of the Munich winter.
The shoot was tied into the opening of O₂ Surftown Munich, the largest urban surf park in Germany.
HOW IT ALL CAME TOGETHER
Filmed in a single day – with a clear production plan and an eye for the unexpected.
The approach was run & gun, but structured: storyboard, key scenes, a visual throughline – all prepared.
At the same time, there was room for spontaneity, like when it became clear: Leon was actually going into the water.
The result blends brand film, behind-the-scenes energy, and a documentary miniature.
